Despite the Ghanian government’s notable efforts to combat hunger and undernutriton, the prevalence of child undernutrition remains high in Ghana: 28 percent of children under-5 are stunted, 9 percent are wasted, and 14 percent are underweight.

This month, Ghana is set to launch the Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Movement in an effort to put nutrition at the center of the country’s development policy. Through SUN, and using Feed the Future as a platform for cohesion between nutrition efforts and food security, Ghana aims to improve coordination between the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Food and Agriculture.
