USAID COMPETE worked with the Tanzania Port Authority to establish a One Stop Center at the Dar es Salaam port. The One Stop Center (OSC) was formally launched on July 26. The goal of the OSC is to streamline the processing of clearance documents, resulting in fewer days of cargo dwell time.
The Dar es Salaam port is a strategic entry and exit point for two major transit corridors: the Central Corridor running through Tanzania to Rwanda, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of Congo; and the Dar es Salaam Corridor, running southwest through Tanzania to Zambia and Malawi.
