From November 28-30, the Tanzania Feed the Future team hosted its semiannual partners meeting in Arusha. The meeting brought together more than 120 participants, including Government of Tanzania representatives, private groups, and Feed the Future core implementing partners. Each of the implementing partners gave presentations addressing the successes, challenges, and goals of their programs.
These presentations included information about the importance of women farmers, improved nutrition for children, innovative technology, as well as expanding involvement in the Southern Agriculture Growth Corridor of Tanzania (SAGCOT), which is a target region for Feed the Future in Tanzania.
The Honorable Professor Jumanne Maghembe, Minister for Agriculture, Food Security, and Cooperatives, gave remarks during the meeting, lauding the collaborative relationship between the United States and the Government of Tanzania as they implement Feed the Future to enhance lives in Tanzania.
